Saturday November 18 3-8pm. Music and conversation Q&A with the Audio Research team! Come learn more about these amazing locally made products.  All three rooms will have different levels of Audio Research equipment, our main system pictured will have a Ref 6SE preamplifier and the new Ref 160.2M monoblocks driving Focal Sopra 3. System 2 will consist of Audio Research LS 28SE preamplifier and Ref 80SE driving JBL 4943 studio monitors, rounded out with fully loaded Audio Research I50 integrated driving Revel and Focal in system 3.  Drinks, refreshments and charcuterie provided. Celebrating 50th Anniversary of Mark Levinson at Mpls HIFI

Please join us to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mark Levinson. We will be hosting an event on Friday November 18th, 6pm -930pm. Debuting the ML-50 Monaural amplifiers. Minneapolis HiFi will also be demonstrating some other great gear from Harman.

We will have representatives from Harman to share some of the design that went these bad boys. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be provided.

Audio Research

We are very pleased to announce we are now Audio Research dealers. These are the Ref 160 M Mono Amplifiers which are the sweetest and most natural sounding amps we’ve heard. Come down and give them a listen sometime.

New room acoustics installation

Custom binary absorber/diffuser panels designed by Josh Ritenour. Modeled in the quadratic equation in quartersawn white oak with fabric wrapped Owens Corning 703. They’ve made a huge difference in taming all of the hard surfaces in our space. Which is one of the many parts that go into acoustically tuning a room. These are mounted on aircraft cabling which makes them fully adjustable in the space as well. Custom designed panels available in multiple wood species.

We added Magico to the lineup

We are now the exclusive Magico dealer in the twin cities. The new S5mkII arriving in their crates. 220lbs a piece with carbon nanographene drivers and diamond berylium tweeters. These speakers are easily one of the best we’ve ever heard.

Here’s a teaser of our new space.  We will be moving to the Northwinds Lofts building in November. We’re very excited to build it out. Keep an eye out on our Instagram and Facebook for progress pics.  It’s going to be really fun to have a new space to design and tune.

We’re looking forward to sharing some of our custom builds, systems and processes. Covid has slowed things down a little but we are still able to do most of our regular services. We have a lot of fun projects and ideas on the horizon.
